How to Sell
To sell on StampWants, you need to create a free account with us. Once you do so you can begin to sell on StampWants. However, you must first enter a valid credit card before you will be able to sell. You will be prompted for this information when you click on "Sell".
In order to do that, you will have to click on the "Sell" link, and you will be redirected to a page, you can then select the main category of the product or service you want to sell. This feature has been made in order to ease the subcategory choosing process. No items can be sold by choosing only the main category; you will have to choose a subcategory for it.
The second step is entering the auction details, settings, payment methods available, and choosing a category. An image that will come with the auction is free of charge, but there is small charge for adding additional pictures.
On the Auction Settings tab, you can choose the type of the auction, the start price, whether to activate buy now or set a reserve price.
Also, you will be able to choose what type of bid increment to use, the progressive one implemented into the site, or a custom one. If you choose the custom one, you will have to enter an increment value.
You will also be able to choose whether to feature the item, and the duration of the auction.
After setting the location, shipping and payment and subcategory, and by clicking on the “Next Step” button, you will be redirected to Step Three, where you can review the auction before submitting. If everything is in order, you can click on the “Submit” button, and will be redirected to the confirmation page. The auction is then activated.

Paying Your Account Balance
At the end of each month we will email you an invoice. If your account balance is over $5.00, we will ask you to make a payment. You can do so by clicking on the link, which will bring you to your Account Details page. You can also access this page anytime, by logging into StampWants and clicking on Account Details in the My StampWants area.
Our preferred method of payment is Google Checkout. You can click in the Account Details area to pay with Google Checkout. You can then enter your credit card information (securely), or if you already have a Google Checkout account, your Google username and password. Google Checkout is not like PayPal, as there are no account balances, or anything like that. It is simply a way for us to process credit cards.
If you cannot pay with Google Checkout because you are outside of the United States, or do not wish to pay with credit card, you can pay with PayPal. The link to pay with PayPal is also located on the Account Details page.
Currently, we do not automatically charge your credit card each month, so you are responsible for paying all invoices when you receive them. If you are unsure of what your account balance is, you can always check in the Account Details area of the My StampWants area. However, if you fail to pay your account balance by the 25th of the month, your credit card on file will be charged for the amount of your current account balance.
