These are examples I have come across of someone who has used water that is waaaaaaaay too hot. You have to ask yourself - If you were washing a load of laundry with new, dark colored clothing would you run it on a hot water cycle? (For those out there who never touch the laundry in their house, the correct answer is a very loud NO.) Dark colors bleed and stamps are no different. Some stamps react OK to this hot water process but many will bleach and fade when the water is too hot. Stick to warm water and you'll be fine.

The top stamps in each row are the faded ones on the bottom rows are better examples of what they should look like without the high temperature damage.
