My Philatelic Philosophy

I have enjoyed this great hobby since I was a boy of 8... well over 40 years ago. I used to love going to the local stamp shop (back when there were many more of them than there are today) and browse through the stock books and boxes filled with these wonderful messengers from exotic lands and times gone by. I admired the incredible detail of these miniature works of art, and got a real thrill out of making a "find" in some forgotten corner of the shop.

As is the case with many of us "old time" collectors, I got away from the hobby as I reached adulthood and found other things to do to occupy my free time. But the memories of those early experiences were always with me. And, eventually, I was drawn back into the fold.

When I decided to become a part-time dealer, I was determined to run my shop like the old time brick-and-mortar stamp shops... with personal service and, above all, the highest degree of ethics. I made sure I joined a reputable stamp dealer organization which also abides by these moral standards. I joined the Internet Philatelic Dealers Association because I believe they too believe in the old fashioned principles of honesty and integrity. I rejoined the American Philatelic Society for these same reasons as well.

I back each and every purchase with a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. I realize that purchasing stamps on the internet is not the same as going to the local stamp shop. You can't actually hold the stamp in your hand (or should I say stamp tongs) and turn it over, hold it up to the light, examine it with a 16X loupe, and all the other things a discriminating collector might do to examine a stamp. To compensate, I always show the stamp magnified at least 2.5 to 4 times its actual size to allow for a thorough on-screen inspection. If, however, after receiving your order, you find that any or all of the stamps do not meet with your approval, I will gladly exchange the stamp(s) or refund the purchase price. I would rather loose a sale than have an unhappy customer. I believe in the Golden Rule. I want to treat my customers as I would like to be treated. So dig right in and enjoy. My shop is open 24/7 all year long, even if I'm not always on duty to greet you personally.

Happy Collecting! -- Don
