In listing stamps, we have refrained from using terms like "Fine" and "Very Fine," which refer entirely to centering. This is partly due to our observation, since selling stamps on StampWants, that individual sellers vary quite a bit in what they call "Fine" or "Very Fine," or even "Superb." Stamps that we would think, based on the illustration, are barely "Fine," have been called "Very Fine" by some sellers.
So, to avoid this problem, if a stamp is well-centered, we will mention that in the description, and let the bidder decide from the picture of the stamp if they like it enough to want to buy it. We try to mention all negative aspects, in words, rather than in "well known" abbreviations like "SMTH," at least in the description section.
As we have said elsewhere, we really don't want to leave anyone feeling unhappy with their purchase, so if there is a problem, let us know, and we'll do something about it (like flee to Brazil).
