Terms of Business


All items are in sound condition with the stamps being un-mounted mint (never hinged) except those shown to be mounted on album pages or unless otherwise indi&cated in the item’s description. Similarly all covers are un-addressed and bear the official cachet except where stated.

Stanley Gibbons and/or Scott &catalogue numbers are given as a guide only.

For modern (post 1960) First Day Covers the images shown are for illustration only and the item received may differ slightly from that pictured however the only difference will be the address to which it was originally sent. The quality / condition of the item received will never be less than the one depicted.

All items listed on this site are in stock and will be dispatched within one week of receipt of cleared payment.

We are members of the IPDA (Internet Philatelic Dealers Association) and bound by the association’s Code of Ethics.

We operate on a part-time basis during evenings (UK time) and weekends only.

Payment


We will always send an invoice even if you have already paid so that there is a record of the transaction and we can include a printed copy with your purchases.

Payment should be made no later than 7 days after the end date of an auction or the purchase date. If you require longer than 7 days to pay please ask in advance as unpaid lots may be automatically re-listed after this time. Payment may be made only by:

    Paypal
    Sterling Cheque (made payable to C Jones)
    Cash (GB£ US$ or Euros only) sent entirely at the buyer's own risk

We do not accept any other form of payment.

If paying by Paypal please pay for all items together - multiple payments for individual lots incur extra charges to us and such payments will be refunded and single payment requested.

If on receipt you are in any way dissatisfied with an item please contact us. 

We operate a “no quibble” returns policy. Any item may be returned for any reason within seven days for a full refund.

Postage and Packing


Items will be sent following receipt of cleared payment by First Class or Airmail as appropriate in card backed envelopes or with card stiffeners.

Each order will attract a standard flat fee as below dependent only on its destination and whether the insured option has been paid for.

For all items ordered (and paid for) at the same time only one postage charge will apply.

Orders totaling less than $100 will be sent first class / standard airmail entirely at the buyer’s risk unless the “signed for” (insured) option is requested and paid for.

For orders in excess of $100 the insured option is compulsory.

We operate an email and postal only service. No callers please. No stock is kept on the premises.
