I see they had a Bane wantabe at the Midnight showing in Aurora , CO. So much for records being set for this movie, since many will not be attending because of this atrocity and theaters already shutting down the showing of this movie. Sick!!! Sick!!! People. :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :x :x

My heart goes out to the families of the victims. :(

That's just what this scumbag wants, rich. To negatively affect the lives of as many others as he can. I hope all the victims' families can have 2 minutes in a locked room with this scumbag...... :evil:

{Picture deleted because I can't stand seeing his smiling face anymore.}

It's been reported that he claimed to be Batman's nemesis the Joker, not Bane. :thumbdown: LINK

While we take awhile to let the shock and anger from this heinous act to subside, I hope everyone doesn't let this evil, scumbag affect our daily life decisions.

The Dark Knight Rises director and co-writer Christopher Nolan released the following statement about the Colorado theater shooting that left 12 dead and 59 injured:

Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises, I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community. I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime. The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me. Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families.

==============================================================================================

I spent a lot of today reading many different internet forums. On the plus side, most people offered prayers and heartfelt condolences to the victims families. Kind of restores your faith in humanity. There will always be those that view this tragedy as an opportunity to push a personal agenda, but they were in the minority today.

All studios delay reporting this weekends box office numbers till Monday. LINK

"WB also moved to pull trailers from its upcoming film "Gangster Squad" from theaters. The trailer of the film, which stars Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling in a ruthless war between Los Angeles police and the mob, includes a scene of mobsters firing into a crowded movie theater from behind the screen."

Wonderful. :thumbdown:

The Denver Post reports:

Christian Bale, star of the Batman films, is in town visiting victims of the Aurora movie theater shooting, Warner Brothers officials confirmed.

"Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," said an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications.

Bale previously released the following statement about the tragedy:

“Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”
