"set shipped status" icon not working for me and....

When I click on the brown box icon to make it "blue", it takes about 7 seconds for the shipping pop-up box to appear, which is gone in the blink of an eye, before I can select any of the choices.

Also... I don't know what to make of the following. It appeared as a notification at the bottom of my screen. I have no clue what this is about. A phantom listing of some sorts? Because I checked my listings and it is still there. This came up several days after I listed it in my store....(Don't know what to make of this listing and all the weird symbols that have appeared in my description.)

The shipping icon problem is above my pay grade as usual... :( but I went to your store and pulled up your listing and everything appears just as it should be..looks Great! I noticed that you space your paragraphs pretty large and what I see in your post ( all the A's) looks like the code of the program being shown as to spacing, indents, and paragraphs.... however everything appears good when I look at it in your store...just so you know.. :thumbup:

What Internet browser and version number are you using. This is normally found in the Help > About menu of your Internet browser. For example, Internet Explorer v9.0, Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox v12.0, etc.

google chrome with adblock plus for chrome. I thought about this, but I've been using this browser/extension since I first logged onto this site. This is the first time the drop down window for "set shipped status" is not functioning properly. Also, the duplicate/phantom listing above that somehow "ended" on it's own, is the first time that happened. The "real" listing is still up and running normal. Sometimes when I submit a listing, it takes about a half minute to register. You see the little circle spinning letting you know the listing is uploading and then I get, "you already submitted this listing". So I go back and re-input it all over again. Then I check my listings to make sure it is the only one, which it is. This happens about once every 50 listing submissions. I have noticed that every time it's happened, I have multiple tabs open for bidStart.

Hey, I just got the "set shipped status" box icon to work. What I did was click on the box for the other items I've previously sold, first. They are working fine. Then the latest item I've sold icons are working fine, but only after I click on the icons for older items sold first. Here is the latest listing, which I am having the shipping icon problems with.... 27210924

You know, I received several emails this was sold. One from bidstart alerting me it was sold, another saying the buyer was going to mail payment, and then another saying buyer paid through paypal. These were all emailed at mostlty the same time. Maybe the fact that the buyer clicked on mail payment and paypal payment has something to do with it? Grasping at straws here. Like I said, all the other icons for previously sold items are working fine, it's just the shipping box one for the newest sold item that's giving me a problem.

Adblock software can cause problems for ajax on a website (which is basically the dynamic functions that happen without reloading the whole page, like the set shipped status form, etc.) Try turning off the Adblock software, and see if that makes a difference.

The listing you noted above, started on Thurs May-24-12 17:26:20 EDT, and was a 1 day listing, and ended on Fri May-25-12 17:26:20 EDT, as it should. The A's in the description were caused by a formatting difference in your Internet browser. Which shouldn't have happened, but again it's probably related to the Adblocking software, which actually rewrites parts of our webpages on it's own - in your Internet browser.

If you have multiple tabs open, and you're doing something such as creating new listings, that could cause an issue. To ensure you're not accidentally pressing the back button in your browser, and causing the item you just created to be listed again, we use a form counter. Such that when you open a page with a critical form, such as a new item listing window, we note a number (for example 1000) as the current form counter. Then once you submit the item, we increment the number (example to 1001). If you go back in your browser for example, we'd see you're trying to create a new listing, but that the form counter is 1000, and we know that's below our current counter of 1001, so we ignore it - assuming you're accidentally submitting the same information again.

That's a very basic overview of what happens, but if you have multiple tabs open and are submitting multiple listings in them, etc. you could run into an issue. We recommend only listing items in one tab at a time.
