You can see just the neutrals and negatives. There are tabs for those that were left by others and for those that the user left for others. To access that information, just click on the feedback number.

I missed it, too! BTW, on the "other" site you can still see negatives only by clicking on the negative number in the feedback summary box. (Ditto with the neutrals). I tried that on BidStart and it didn't work, all the while not seeing the option to click on the words that were clear as day!

Looking at the original note regarding problems I have to agree with Pal Pals new ruling Postage (Shipping and Handling fees) is part of the guarantee regarding returns. Dennis.

Lars, my comment about clicking on the feedback number may have been misleading. What I meant was if you want to see someone's feedback, click on the feedback number next to their username, like michael78651 (12345). You will then get the screen that Doug posted and can click on the various filterings for the feedbacks that you want to view.

Michael, your comment was clear as day and I immediately saw how to view ONLY the negative feedback on BidStart and I appreciate that you pointed it out. Obviously my reply lacked the clarity of your original post. What I meant was that I couldn't believe that the solution was so obviously right in front of me but I was narrowly focused on attempting to apply what works at that "other" place, and that is clicking on the detailed feedback number itself (e.g. negative for the past 6 months). It works "over there" and I blindly tried it here not noticing the much more obvious and user friendly solution right before my eyes that I didn't see until you pointed it out.

I have noticed many stamps that are mis-identified by Poppe and have sent them emails.

Sadly, the response from PayPal, even though Poppe Stamps ADMITTED that the Scott numbers we not dependable, was that I had to return the stamps with proof of delivery and Poppe was not responsible for return shipping. The cost for proof of delivery in the Philippines exceeds the amount I could expect to have refunded, so Poppe could have send an envelope of feathers and the result would be the same.

Once again I call on Mark to provide me with a way to block sellers (like sellers can block buyers). I never again want to even waste my time seeing a listing from those thieves in the Philippines!

michael78651 wrote:The SG Simplified only lists one of a kind of stamp without regard to watermark or perforations. So, all those green and carmine 1 and 2 cent Washington-Franklins will have one listing in the simplified catalog, but it will be the lowest valued stamp from the standard catalog. You know by the SG catalog number what stamp it is, and if you go to the standard SG catalog you will find the complete listing. The same for the SG numbers on postage dues.

The SG numbers listed by PoppeStamps are correct. They are for the cheaper Rotary Press issues, but the Scott number they base their listing on "as a SERVICE" is intentionally misleading. I finally obtained a 2005 Part 22 SG Catalog and they clearly list the Flat Plat issues as D691-D700 and the Rotary Press issues as D702-D710. Therefore PoppeStamps are either incompetent or (more likely) LIARS and THIEVES! Don't buy ANYTHING from PoppeStamps based on the Scott number if there is any possibility of confusion. I am going to forward this to Mark and ask that he prohibit them from using misleading Scott Numbers.

That would be very nice. Would save me having to load ( via cut and paste ) all my "minus" sellers into the "specify seller" box, after I do a search. I do dozens of searches every day, and have to do the cut-and-paste almost every time, to filter out all the sellers I won't buy from. But given the "two-step" work-around, I'd be surprised if they allow us to block sellers more directly.

But if we did have such a feature, it would also be nice if the seller could see everyone who is blocking them. My guess is that most "minus" sellers don't have a clue that their listings are being deliberately ignored. If they were aware, then maybe, maybe ( maybe ), they might be open to learning why.

I've had a mixed experience with this seller.

Sale #1 - everything arrived as pictured. This was in early 2009. It was a little slow in getting to me.
Sale #2 - items did not arrive. This was Aug 2009. Finally received refund, but lost money as they didn't refund sale but sent money which Paypal took some part. So, Paypal got on both ends. Their customer service comes out of the woodwork if you file a complaint with their money processor.
Sale #3 - will not happen.

Note - I go by what is pictured, not what catalogue numbers provided. If there are different watermarks (which is usually not visible in photos) I do expect it correct if they provide catalogue numbers. I have complained (and returned items) if catalogue numbers provided was for higher priced and then item was for lower priced and it was a clearly different watermark.

In this case it was a difference of perf 10.5 versus perf 11, but same principle. The problem is that you have to send it BACK to the Philippines and get proof of delivery (or trust that someone who lied about the catalog numbers is going to tell the truth when they get the stamps back). They refuse to pay postage so I'm the one PAYING for their mistake! The high shipping cost and slow turnaround would have been worth it if the stamps we as advertised, but I will never do business with them again.
