Clearing history for email notifications

I find the email notifications to be quite handy. I have kept my Want List up-to-date and I like seeing anything listed that is a match. I just completed an effort where I was buying a lot of stuff unrelated to my collecting interest for a few projects I was working on. I have now purchased EVERY item I need but my notification emails are full of stuff I don't need because of recent purchases and searches. Is it possible to "clear" my purchasing and searching history for the purposes of the email notifications, or to have the email notifications ONLY for items on my Want List?
