Today in History, December 17, 1903: First Flight
This upcoming Saturday, December 17, marks the 108th anniversary of the first ever successfully powered, heavier than air flight, which took place near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, by the Wright brothers. That first flight lasted only 12 seconds, and covered just 120 feet. But it's implications would change the world as we know it.
In this newsletter we'll be featuring U.S. Air Mail stamps in honor of the Wright bothers, as well as aviation postcards.
