1) The New Sell Your Item Process
Over the past few months, we have been developing an all-new Sell Your Item Process. The new process is faster, easier, and offers new options to help make listing, buying, and selling better. The new process offers many new innovations and features. Some of these features include the following:
You can now easily move between any steps during the listing process by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page.
            Category:
The category and additional category selection is now on one page. If you would like to use the additional category, you can expand the selection box for it on the bottom of the page.  If not, you can simply skip to the next step.
            Description and Images:
An all-new html editor has been included with additional features, allowing you to easily create a look that will give your listing the attention it deserves.
One of the most exciting new features is the new upload-your-images form. Previously, when you selected your image, you would see a thumbnail (but the image wasn’t actually uploaded yet). You would then need to click on the next step and wait for the page to load. During this time, you were not able to do anything, and had no indication of when your images would be done uploading.
In the New Sell Your Item Process, this has all changed! Now, once you select your image, it immediately starts uploading, complete with a progress bar! If you want to upload additional pictures (now only 1 cent each), you can even do that at the same time. The best part of all this is that you do not need to wait for your images to finish uploading before you proceed to the next step! This means that while your images upload, you can continue working on your listing!
            Listing Details:
On the Listing Details page, you can now select if you would like to list an auction, fixed price listing, or store item. Then, you only need to enter the fields that pertain to that type of listing. Also, now you have the ability to accept best offers for items on an individual basis! Previously, you could only accept best offers on all or none of your fixed price and store listings.
Another major change is in the Shipping Details, which are now more robust and offer more automation, and ensure that buyers know exactly how much shipping to pay. There are now three rates, Domestic, Canada/Mexico and International. Domestic is for buyers in your own country, and Canada/Mexico is for buyers in Canada/Mexico and International is for all other buyers. If you are from Canada, the Canada/Mexico will change to United States/Mexico and likewise if you are in Mexico. If you are in the European Union, this rate will change to European Union (except your own country, which will be Domestic). These rates will then be applied automatically when users check out, or when you create invoices.
If you would like us to add these rates to your existing listings we can do this too. Just email us and let us know how much you would like to charge for each rate, relative to the current shipping costs you have set. For example, we can set the Canada/Mexico rate to be $0.50 higher than your Domestic rate on all your listings, and for your international rate we can set it to be $1.00 higher, etc.
Also new to the shipping details area is the ability to state where you ship to in detail, by selecting Domestic, Worldwide, or Domestically and the following locations (which you can choose). For your combined shipping discount (which can be set in Account Details), you can now select which items this applies to; this way, if you have a large or heavy item that you do not want to receive a shipping discount, it won’t.
            Review and Submit:
The last exciting new feature that is now available is the ability to save listings as templates. You can save up to 25 templates that you can name. These templates can be selected either when you first go to the New Sell Your Item Process, or after you create a listing and submit. The templates will save all your information, and can help you list faster.
There are also two new listing upgrades available: border and SW icon. Border creates a border around your listing when users search or browse (similar to highlight). SW Icon creates an attention-grabbing icon under your title when users search or browse.
We hope everyone enjoys the New Sell Your Item Process, and we invite everyone to try it out. We have been working on this for months, and have been testing this new feature out for a couple of weeks.  So, if you notice any problems, please email us and we’ll quickly correct them. Also, if you want to use the old sell your item process, there is a link to it at the bottom of the New Sell Your Item Process.

2) Category Changes
You may have noticed some category changes recently. A new main category, Worldwide, has been created. The United Nations and Foreign (Other) categories have been moved there, along with other new sub-categories: Collections, Event Covers, First Day Covers and Postal History. The Foreign (Other) category has also been renamed to Worldwide > Other.
Another change was made to United States > First Day Covers. This category has been split into 3 sub-categories: Pre 1951, 1951-2000 and 2001-Present. We have attempted to move the FDCs to the correct category but have had some difficulty in doing so. One proposed idea is to create a fourth, Unsorted category, and move all lots there until they can be moved by their respective sellers. If you have items listed in the FDC category, email us and let us know what you think.

3) Buyers Suggest Features You Would Like
Many of the recent major additions and changes made to StampWants have been geared toward the selling side of StampWants, as this is where many of the comments and suggestions are coming from. If you are a buyer, we would really like to know what features you would like to see added or changed on StampWants.
Our next planned addition is the all-new Display You Collection feature, which will allow users to create virtual representations of their collections. Including scans and descriptions of their stamps, and will allow for ratings and comments to be made on their collections and stamps by other members of StampWants. If you like this idea, or have any other ideas or suggestions, please post them in the Comments and Suggestions forum in the StampWants forums.
