1) Miss New Jersey to Announce C3a Jenny Invert Winner Today at 2:00 PM EST

What started as a giveaway of a $275,000 stamp a little over a year ago, concludes today at 2:00pm EST at the APS Ameristamp Expo in Charlotte, as Miss New Jersey announces the winner of the StampWants.com C3a Inverted Jenny Giveaway, which now has a Scott Catalog value of $400,000; $125,000 more than when the giveaway was first announced. The winner of the C3a will be posted on StampWants.com within about an hour after the announcement. Full details, pictures and videos will be posted when we return from the show in Charlotte on Monday.

The 1918 24¢ Inverted Jenny stamp is the most popular and desired philatelic error in the world. Since December of 2006, when StampWants.com first announced their promotion, the Catalog Value of the C3a has skyrocketed - no doubt in large part due to the excitement of this unprecedented giveaway. By next year the stamp is on track to be worth even more than ever, considering the recent record breaking sales of single C3a's - on November 14, 2007 when a single exceptionally centered C3a was sold by Robert A. Siegel Auction Galleries for $977,500, and as recently as December 26, 2007 when Heritage Auction Galleries sold a never hinged example for $825,000.

"Since the start of our giveaway we've seen our membership grow from 4,000 registered users to over 20,000 registered users.
