1) Secret NEW StampWants Features Revealed - The StampWants My Bar

A couple of weeks ago in the StampWants Forums we revealed information on the StampWants My Bar feature (http://www.stampwants.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=63693). The StampWants My Bar feature is a bar which rests on the bottom of your Internet browser (don't worry there is nothing you need to install) and allows you to bring up a small sub-window for several groups of items including items you are bidding on and watching. The item information in these windows is updated in real time with up to the second countdowns and current bids. We also hinted at a more important and revolutionary feature which will also be included in the StampWants My Bar - the StampWants My Bar notifications section.

Before we go into further detail on this revolutionary new feature, please keep in mind that this feature will be available in the NEW StampWants, which will be debuting in about a month. This, and all of the other exciting features included in the NEW StampWants are not yet available, but as previously promised we're keeping you in the loop as our development progresses.

Currently as a StampWants member you can receive email notifications for various important events, such as when you are outbid on an item, when an offer is made on an item you are selling, etc. In the NEW StampWants, in addition to email notifications you will receive real time notifications right on StampWants; as you go about browsing and using all the various features of StampWants. In the bottom right hand corner of your screen when new notifications arrive your notification count will increase (it will also bounce up and down to draw your attention to the fact that new notifications have arrived). At any time you can click on the notification area to reveal a sub-window with details on the notifications received. This will include the current item information, notification details, and how long ago you were sent the notification.
