1) CherryStone Auction Sale 107 - Public Auctions Now on StampWants

We're pleased to announce a very exciting new feature on StampWants - Public Auctions and Mail Sales.

We're working with several major philatelic auction houses to bring you Public Auctions and Mail Sales. From the comfort and familiarity of StampWants, you can view and place bids in many Public Auctions and Mail Sales. These auctions are different than standard StampWants auctions because even if you are the high bidder on StampWants, you might not win the auction because your bid will be competing against other non-internet bidders and floor bidders.

This new feature allows you to browse Public Auctions and Mail Sales in an easy to navigate format. You can hover over any image with your mouse to bring up a larger image preview. You can view the full image and place your bid by clicking on the description. You can even choose to search or browse by StampWants categories!

Additionally, all Public Auctions and Mail Sales are available in both regular searching and browsing on StampWants. These items are denoted as Public Auctions or Mail Sales, and are displayed after regular listings and store items. However, you can click the new Public/Mail tab to view only Public Auction and Mail Sale listings.

There are three types of Public Auctions/Mail Sales on StampWants. Traditional Mail Sales - where your bid will be competing with other mail, phone and fax bidders. Public Auctions - where your bid will be used as an absentee bid during the live public auction. Lastly, there are Live Public Auctions - where you can place absentee bids or bid live during the floor auction right from StampWants!

A specialized Germany and Colonies section is noteworthy, especially World War II Occupation stamps and covers.
