1) April 1, 2008 - the NEW My StampWants Area Becomes the Default

About a month ago, we released the All NEW My StampWants area. Since then, we've received hundreds of messages from StampWants members telling us how much they love all the new features. Some members however, haven't started using it yet. We know this because we still get questions asking if a feature can be added, which to we reply, "We already have that, just go to the NEW My StampWants area!"

If you haven't already started using the NEW My StampWants area, please do so by clicking on the large button found at the top of the current My StampWants area. Both buyers and sellers will find that there are many new features that will help them manage and track their activity on StampWants.com.

Buyers for example, often want to delete items from the Items I've Won section, so they can only view items they haven't paid for yet, or received. The NEW My StampWants area does one step better, by letting buyers filter the Items I've Won section by date, as well as Unpaid or Not Received items only. This way a buyer can see what they need to pay for quickly, and keep track of what they have received.

Sellers can now filter by date, keyword, category and many other options in any of their selling sections. Filter results in the Unsold Items section, and then at the bottom of the page change 'Expanded Items Only' to 'All Items In this Filter' and relist those specific items with ease. You can even set them to start at a later date.

The amount of new and enhanced features are almost endless in the NEW My StampWants area, and we invite you to try them all out, and start making the switch from the old/current My StampWants area. A couple of quick things to keep in mind is that at the top of every page in the Buying and Selling areas you'll see a key - and quick guide to some of the options available on that page. Also, by clicking on any item's title (or plus sign) you'll expand the row. Expanded rows display images and additional information for each item. More importantly they will reveal actions you can take on that specific item. They also serve to "check off" the row. Want to apply a certain action to all the rows you've expanded? Just scroll to the bottom of the table and you will see 'Expanded Items Only' selected. To the left of this drop down box, you can click any of the available actions. For buyers this may mean marking items paid or received, and for sellers you'll find similar options, as well as ways to relist, send store items to auction and more. Or, if you want to apply an action to all of the items on the current page, or filter, just change the 'Expanded Items Only' drop down box to another option.

We've also set the date for when the NEW My StampWants area will become the default, and replace the old/current area - April 1, 2008. After that date, clicking on the My StampWants button in the header, or logging in to your account, will bring you directly to the NEW My StampWants area. While you take time to make the transition to the NEW My StampWants area, you'll still be able to use the old area, by clicking a link on the top of the page (similar to how you currently get to the NEW My StampWants area).
